Grade-Level Departments

Sayler Park School is organized into grade-level departments. Grades K-3 make up the Primary Department; grades 4-6 make up the Intermediate Department; grades 7-8 make up the Junior High Department, and grades 9-12 make up the High School Department. (Grade 10 in the year 2026-27, 11th in 2027-28, and 12th in 2028-29).

Team Teaching

Sayler Park teachers at each grade level work in teams to provide consistent, rigorous instruction in the four main content areas: Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science. Support teams composed of Sayler Park teachers help implement the standards-based curriculum in each core subject.

The Sayler Park Intervention Specialist Team provides services to students who need small-group and one-on-one instructional time in addition to the classroom instructional period. The Specialist Team works with students who have a written plan created by their teachers, parents or guardians, the school administrator, and other interested parties.

Sayler Park teachers continually work to improve themselves and the school through ongoing professional development. The staff participates in all aspects of the school, including club sponsorship, social events, and community activities.

Sayler Park teachers pride themselves on regularly scheduled, well-attended parent-teacher conferences.

Paraprofessionals and parents strengthen the instructional environment by assisting teachers in the classroom and at home.
